The Hull & Goole Port Sanitary Authority was established in 1887 and later became the Hull & Goole Port Health Authority. The Chief Port Health Inspector, Ms Sally Johnson, is custodian of the original Authority Reports from 1886 onwards, and they make fascinating reading. Keen historians may research these documents (in person at the Authority offices only) on request to the Chief Port Health Inspector. Photocopies of dates/pages/subjects of interest can be provided on a limited basis subject to an economical charge.
The Hull History Centre has most of our archive material in its collection. An online catalogue is available on their website.
